Job Description This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of software experiences. The candidate should be self-motivated, able to collaborate with a team and across the organization, and responsible for the quality of software artifacts produced, adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact on customer experience. Familiarity with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles is essential. Essential Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain products. Take full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code. Create optimal designs following architectural best practices, considering scalability, reliability, and performance. Analyze failures, propose design changes, and promote operational improvements. Make sound design and coding decisions with the customer experience in mind. Incorporate feedback from code reviews to meet standards. Conduct code reviews to guide engineering best practices and compliance. Ensure all product development follows compliance and security standards. Focus on software reliability engineering standards in development. Embrace emerging technologies and contribute to best practices supporting the bank’s tech transformation. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Prioritize and size tasks appropriately for incremental delivery, communicating blockers early. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Three to five years of relevant experience. Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with Hogan CIS, deposits mainframe Cobol, JCL, IMS DB, MQ, and VSAM development, along with strong Endevor, EzTrieve, FileManager, EZTRIEVE, and TSO skills. Excellent debugging skills, understanding of dependency management, IMS database knowledge, and experience with SDLC, release management, testing methodologies, and large transaction systems are preferred. Location Expectations: The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with in-office presence expected 3 or more days per week, and the rest can be worked remotely.
