Job Description
We’re hiring an experienced HR Generalist to support a growing manufacturing operation in Tracy, CA. In this critical role, you’ll partner with site leadership and frontline employees to manage the full scope of HR functions — including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and workforce processes — while helping to shape a strong workplace culture in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
You’ll support the on-site HR Business Partner and collaborate with operations to implement scalable HR systems and people-first solutions on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding for hourly and contract roles
Handle leaves of absence (LOAs), reasonable accommodations, and other sensitive employee matters with discretion and compliance
Coach and advise supervisors on employee relations, performance management, and workplace practices
Partner with leadership to develop and implement SOPs, training materials, and performance management tools
Maintain employee records in the HRIS (ADP); support payroll and benefits administration
Run and maintain HR reporting and tracking — must be confident using Excel and HR data tools
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws (experience with PAGA and/or prevailing wage is a plus)
Be visible and active on the floor to support employee engagement and promote a safe, accountable culture
What We’re Looking For:
2–5 years of HR generalist experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or other high-volume environments
Strong understanding of California and federal labor laws
Experience handling LOAs, ADA/FEHA accommodations, and confidential employee issues
Proficient in ADP and confident with Excel/reporting
Experience creating and delivering SOPs and training for frontline leaders
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or changing environments
Bilingual (English/Spanish) and comfortable being active on the production floor
Why This Role:
This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking company focused on building sustainable, high-quality solutions. The Tracy site is fast-growing, and your role will be key in scaling people operations while maintaining a strong foundation in compliance, training, and employee support.
Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
Location: Tracy, CA (onsite role)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5AM–2PM
Pay: $72,500–$85,000 annually
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits upon conversion, including 401(k) with match, PTO, and more
Apply now if you're ready to lead with integrity, build trust on the floor, and help shape a high-performing HR culture from the ground up.
