Role : Cisco ISE Engineer, with Meraki, SD-WAN Salary : Depends on Experience Hybrid Full Time position in Woodbridge, NJ Salary DOE Cisco Network Engineer/ISE Admin Key Skills: Network Engineer, BGP, Routing & Switching, Cisco ISE , FTD & Meraki, Nexus Switches, As an Cisco ISE Administrator, you will identify endpoints, and enable the creation and enforcement of security and access policies for endpoint devices connected to the company's routers and switches, in order to simplify identity management across diverse devices and applications. Skills: 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership or management role. Proven expertise with Cisco FTD, FMC, ISE, and Meraki platforms. Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, STP, etc.). Experience managing firewall rules, access control, and network security policies. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues. Lead the assessment of current network infrastructure and team skillsets. Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks. Manage and optimize Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), including ASA to FTD migrations, security policies, NAT, ACLs, and VPNs. Administer Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control, guest access, profiling, and posture assessments. Oversee Cisco Meraki infrastructure including MX appliances, MS switches, and MR access points using the Meraki dashboard. Implement and support Meraki SD-WAN features for branch connectivity. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues related to security, access, and traffic flow. Lead and mentor a team of 4 network professionals with varied technical focus. Collaborate with IT leadership on network architecture, project delivery, and process improvement. experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on Cisco technologies Proficiency in network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, etc. Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices. Experience in Cisco ISE Ability to obtain and or maintain a Top Secret security clearance Configure, implement, and troubleshoot ISE. Build and analyze ISE rules to comply with client network security policies. Hands-on experience with network hardware, including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and other leading vendors. knowledge in subnetting and routing protocols Deep knowledge of Cisco routing/switching hardware: Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, subnetting, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Level 3 Network Engineers typically work in an office environment but may occasionally be required to work remotely or travel to different sites for project deployments or troubleshooting. The role may involve occasional on-call duties to address critical network issues outside of regular business hours. Ability to install and manage Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and network devices Work closely with IT teams to support enterprise infrastructure projects Expertise with Meraki Provide onsite and remote network administration and support in a 24x7 manufacturing operation for both IT and OT systems. This includes ensuring network reliability and addressing any urgent issues that may arise. Ensure continuous operation through proactive planning, maintenance, and monitoring of critical IT networks and supporting systems across multiple sites. This involves regular updates, patches, and performance tuning to prevent downtime. Design, set up, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues related to Cisco hardware, wireless, switching, and routing. This includes configuring network devices, optimizing network performance, and resolving connectivity issues. Provide technical support for network security platforms, including Cisco ISE and Secure Network Analytics. This involves implementing security policies, monitoring security threats, and responding to security incidents Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills Administer, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure comprised of Cisco Catalyst and IE3000 series switches, wireless controllers, and access points with DNA Center and Cisco ISE. This includes managing network configurations, monitoring network health, and ensuring optimal performance. Create and maintain detailed systems documentation. This includes documenting network configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. Participate in multiple business projects and provide technical expertise and support as needed. This involves collaborating with project teams, providing network-related insights, and ensuring network requirements are met. Evaluate and make expert recommendations for improvements to IT platforms, architecture, and capabilities to ensure appropriate service levels, performance, and cost of ownership. CCNA,CCNP or higher certifications, Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable. Recommend enhancements/changes to system design as appropriate Identify, research, evaluate and implement emerging wireless technologies. Determine switching, routing, firewall and wireless hardware requirements. Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing technical teams. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
